A journey of discovery through the different landscapes of Ireland – spread across the four cardinal points of the compass rose. The Irish island has a particularly varied natural backdrop, from extensive sandy beaches and dune landscapes to steep coastlines, lush green plateaus and idyllic islands. The many facets to be discovered show how the striking differences in topography and nature have influenced the culture and history of the inhabitants. Each region has its own history, different in nature and climate and a different type of people.
