Lost Town

Anne Niemann and Johannes Ingrisch had just completed their studies when they won an international architecture competition. Their idea is as simple as it is good: a landmark is to be built on the structurally weak east coast of England to illustrate coastal erosion and attract streams of tourists. A sculpture made of gigantic stainless steel steles in the sea, the silhouette of which replicates a church that sank many hundreds of years ago. A dramatic symbol for sunken places.

LOST TOWN tells the story of the pitfalls of realizing a major architectural project and the inner maturing process of two ambitious architects.
