Dinosaurs – they ruled the earth for millions of years. To this day, they are the most admired creatures among young and old, populating museums, books, films and our imagination – the descendants of dragons and monsters from ancient times.
They were only discovered by researchers around 200 years ago. In 1841, the name “dinosaur” – a terrible lizard – was coined for them. But why do the images we have of them resemble dragons that are thousands of years old? Did the dinos never become extinct after all? Paleontologists have now set themselves the goal of exorcising the mystical aura from the objects from legends in the laboratory and drawing a new picture of the enormous reptiles. Together with researchers from Germany and Tanzania, we go in search of the prehistoric giants.
